What to expect The first session consists of a friendly 60 minute clinical interview to help identify your current area of concern and your goal for therapy. At the end of the session, you will be given an initial psychological understanding of your difficulty and you will be given advice on the options available to tackle the difficulty. Therapy sessions are 60 minutes in duration. The total number of therapy sessions suggested is guided by research (for example, research shows that between 6-20 sessions of CBT or ACT have been found to be helpful in reducing depressive symptoms); however this is ultimately decided by you, the client, and can vary from a couple of sessions to regular weekly sessions.
